If there is one part of a house that symbolizes the whole, it's the doorway. Both of these photographers have understood that in setting up their shots. But does "setting up" here mean more than positioning their human subjects and aiming their cameras? Did they possibly prop up the doorways as well...with a wink at us?

Above, the double-wide doorway has a door attached by its hinges implausibly to the outside of one jamb. The other jamb has no marks that indicate hinges for a second door were ever installed. And the wider door to the right...what the hell is that for?

Below, the doorway is standing amid stones that clearly are not building stones. The two jambs seem to have different cross sections. The wood even lacks hard edges like the stones next to it. It's as if it were pasted in using Photoshop.
